FAQ: We are often asked, "Why do you charge visitors'
fees?" It is very
common in the campground, RV, and the hospitality industries for
rates to include 2 people, and to charge for each additional person
on your site. In particular, with our
unique
location on an island, we experience direct costs for each
additional person on
our property. In addition to
wear/tear on our property and normal maintenance issues, we need to be able to control over-crowding on the sites and in our
common areas. By charging visitors' fees, we can keep track of
how many guests are on our property (for
better planning, e.g., staffing requirements) and can also allocate
our rates appropriately
for empty-nesters versus families.
