General Information About
Your RV Site
We welcome truck campers, pop-up tent
trailers, travel trailers, 5th wheels, class C motor coaches, class
B motor coaches, and class A motor coaches. (Tent camping is
not permitted.)
One RV camper and one car are allowed per
RV site. Additional vehicles
must park in designated areas (near the registration building and/or
by the marina). Please do not park on the grass. All RV
Sites have full hook-ups, including water, sewer, electric (almost
all the sites have 50 amps, except for one site that has 30 amps),
and cable TV. Most sites can accommodate rigs up to 45 feet
with vehicle in tow. The lay-out of the RV sites were
generally designed for motor-coaches, but fifth-wheelers generally
can pull their rig in and drive their towing vehicle around the site
and connect to the hook-ups. Camping tents are not
allowed. Screen tents, for dining only, are allowed. Washing your RV or car is not allowed.
Clotheslines are not permitted. A picnic table and fire ring are provided at
each site; customers may not move picnic tables or fire rings from their designated locations, or fines will be incurred. Occupancy: rates are based
on 2 people. Additional adults or children have additional fees, max 8 people at one time.
General Information About
Your Marina Slip
Our well-protected marina is ideally situated,
with the shortest access to Lake Ontario from the Henderson Bay.
Our marina has beautiful floating docks which can accommodate boats
up to 40 feet. Shore power and potable water are available.
We expect to install a marina fuel pump for the 2005 season - fuel
may be purchased in nearby marinas (located further in Henderson
Bay). Marina rates are based on 2 people, 1 boat, 1 trailer
and 1 vehicle. Includes use of boat ramp and trailer storage.
Certain weather conditions cause docks and ramps to be very slippery
- use at your own risk. Children under sixteen must be
accompanied by an adult and must wear life jackets. BBQing is
permitted on the boats only, not on the docks. Major repairs
on boats and those involving dangerous substances, including
chemicals and fuel are not permitted in the marinas. Power
cords and hoses are not to be left lying across docks.
Security
Deposits for the Sunset Cottages
A $200 cash security
deposit is due at check-in, and will be refunded after satisfactory inspection at check-out.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 10 pm to
7 am Sun - Thurs, 11:00 pm to 7 am Fri - Sat.
Excessive noise will not be
tolerated.

All Day and Overnight Visitors must register. Visitors must park in designated areas
(near the registration building). Day

Akitas, Chow-Chows, other perceived aggressive breeds.
If your pet exhibits aggressive behavior or excessive barking, management will ask you to
remove your pet from the resort. Pets are not
permitted in cottages, buildings, pool, beach and other activity
areas. Visitors are not allowed to bring pets.
Conserve Water and Electric
Water use and electricity are included in our
daily rates, but please help us conserve when possible. The
costs of providing these services on our island are significantly
more expensive than "main-land" costs. Please notify
management if your (or your neighbor's) water connections are
leaking. We will be happy to help you attain proper (and
leak-free) hose connections. Please notify management of water
leakage or misuse in the bathhouses.
Environmental Issues
Due to environmental considerations, we
forbid the
use of colored and/or formaldehyde based holding tank additives into
the Resort's septic system. Waste water: by law,
dumping of grey or black water on the ground is not allowed.
All sewer hookups require appropriate sewer fittings, either a sewer
donut or sewer elbow.
Recycling is mandatory in the state of New York. All trash
is to be tied in plastic bags and placed in trash dumpsters.
Firearms, fireworks, bb guns, slingshots, etc. are forbidden on
resort property.
Swimming Pool & Beach
The Swimming Pool & Beach area will open over Memorial Day weekend. Pool hours generally are 10:00 am -
dusk, and will be subject to weather
conditions. Please shower in the bathhouses prior to entering
the pool. Diving,
jumping, and rough-housing are prohibited. Glass is not
permitted in the pool or beach areas. Lake swimming is allowed
only in the designated beach area. Swimming and wading are not
allowed in front of the lakefront sites or in any other locations
other than the pool or designated swimming beach - for your safety
and as required by the New York State Department of Health. Swimming is at your own risk - no
lifeguards will be on duty. All children under 18 must be supervised by
2 adults. Never swim alone.
Dress Code and Footwear
Our dress code is casual, but guests must wear proper footwear and shirts/shorts in all buildings.
No Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in the cottages,
swimming pool, beach area, or in any of the resort's buildings
(including the Island Bar & Grill).
Please dispose of cigarette butts properly.
Building Access
Resort guests are strictly prohibited from
entering any of the restricted or older buildings posted with "Do Not Enter"
signs. Restricted buildings include the Community Building,
Ontario Apartments, the Old Dining Hall, and the Sewer Treatment
Building. Our island property has a long
history as a recreational facility but many of the existing
buildings are physically run-down and un-safe. Ironically for
safety reasons, building codes prohibit us from boarding up or
locking the doors to these buildings. We will evict any guests
who disobey this rule.
Trespassing
Any unregistered persons, vehicles, and/or
boats will be considered trespassers and will be removed from the
resort property. Unregistered vehicles and boats will be
towed, at owner's expense.
Permission to Photograph
Entrance onto the
resort property constitutes permission for the management of
Association Island RV Resort & Marina to photograph the visitor
while on the premises and to use any resulting pictures for any
lawful purpose without compensation to the visitor.
Waiver of Liability
All
guests/visitors assume all risks and dangers incidental to the
activity of camping/boating in a rustic outdoor environment
including specifically (but not limited to), the danger of being
injured by insects or other animals, of being injured while
participating in recreational activities (such as hiking, swimming,
biking, boating) at the resort and/or being injured as a result of
inclement weather conditions, and agrees that the resort and its
owners, agents and employees are not liable for injuries or property
theft or property damage resulting from such risks and danger.
Management
We are a privately owned, family operated
resort. Management reserves the right to change
service offerings, organized activities, and rates
and policies, at its sole discretion and without
notice. Management reserves the right to evict any person or
pet for disorderly conduct or violation of any rules, with no
refunds. We will not be held responsible for accidents or
injury to guests. We will not be held responsible for loss of
money, jewelry or valuables of any kind. Camp at your own
risk. Management assumes no responsibility or liability for
personal injury, property loss or damage. Our rules are for the consideration of all our guests
and for the protection of the environment and our property.
Responsibility & Respect
Resort guests are responsible at all times for
the safety and conduct of their family and visitors. For everyone's mutual enjoyment, please
respect the environment, the resort property, our policies, and your
fellow guests at all times.
